Day 1: Da Nang

Welcome to Hanoi! – the capital of Vietnam, is a bustling metropolis with a rich history and culture. We will pick you up at Noi Bai Airport and transfer you to the city center. You will have free time to relax after a long flight.

In the afternoon, we will visit Ba Dinh Square, the largest square in Hanoi. This is where all of the city’s biggest cultural and political events take place. We will take some photos of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside. Then we continued to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. The temple was built in 1070, and the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. After visiting the temple, we will walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, a picturesque lake in the heart of Hanoi. The lake is home to a number of temples and pagodas, and it is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. We will then take a leisurely walk around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a fascinating network of narrow alleys and shophouses. Welcome to Da Nang, a vibrant coastal city in central Vietnam boasting stunning beaches, modern bridges, and rich history. Upon arrival, our local guide will assist with hotel check-in, allowing you to lighten your load. In the afternoon, explore Da Nang, starting with the panoramic views from Son Tra Peninsula. Visit the impressive Linh Ung Pagoda, home to Vietnam’s tallest Buddha statue. Tour the city, passing by iconic bridges—Han River, Thuan Phuoc, and the Dragon Bridge. Discover the Love Bridge and stroll through Apec Park for fantastic photo opportunities. Explore Marble Mountain, including Thuy Son, Huyen Khong Cave, and Tam Thai/Linh Ung Pagodas. Marvel at exquisite stone sculptures in Non-Nuoc Village before returning to our hotel for the night.

Day 2: Da Nang

Breakfast at the hotel, then check out. At 08:30 – 09:00 am, you will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarters and transferred to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as recognized by UNESCO in 1994 and 2006. Upon arrival at the Cruise Port, you will enjoy a warm welcome from cruise staff and complete the check-in procedure for the overnight cruise to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending Dragon” bay, created by thousands of odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After lunch on board, we can visit the Grottos, stop for swimming or kayaking, pass floating houses, and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close proximity. Later in the afternoon, go back to the cruise and enjoy the cooking demonstration before having dinner. In the evening, attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. Glide through the coconut groves on a bamboo basket boat, master the art of paddling a traditional boat, and try fishing using age-old techniques. Relax in the serene countryside, savoring the picturesque views. Witness local artisans weaving baskets and mats with coconut leaves. In the afternoon, upon reaching Hoi An Ancient Town, we will explore its oriental charm—crossing the Japanese Bridge, visiting Chinese Assembly Halls, and wandering through ancient houses. Enjoy folk music, stroll by the Thu Bon River market, and shop for quality tailoring, handicrafts, and traditional apparel. As evening descends, Hoi An transforms into a magical realm, bathed in warm lantern light, echoing with music and laughter. The day concludes with a return to the hotel in Danang.

Day 3: Da Nang

Experience the wonders of Ba Na Hills, a French-inspired hilltop resort. Glide on the renowned cable car, boasting 5 world records, to Ba Na Hills Station. From the iconic Golden Bridge, marvel at the Truong Son Mountains’ lush scenery extending to the East Sea. Visit Loc Uyen Garden and Quan Am Pavilion for picturesque landscapes. Our tour guide will lead you to Fantasy Park for modern games, followed by a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, ascend Chua Mountain to visit Ba Chua Thuong Ngan Temple at 1,487m, enjoying panoramic views of Da Nang City and Da Nang Bay. Descend by cable car and return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to savor the beach ambiance.

Day 4: Hanoi

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be picked up from the pick-up point in District 1 at 07:30-08:00 am. Take the morning city tour to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, a witness to the fierce Vietnam War that ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall for official receptions. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.

Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral (view from outside only) built between 1877 and 1883, the historic Central Post Office – one of the city’s major landmarks. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum, one of the most famous historical attractions in Saigon. Coming to the War Remnants Museum, you can learn a part of how Vietnamese struggled and fought for their independence, freedom, and peace of the nation, as well as the locals’ perspective of the Vietnam War. Have lunch with Vietnamese food at a local restaurant. Afternoon drive to Cu Chi Tunnels: the network of over 200 km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the war.

In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities, including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. After a short introduction video showing how the tunnels were constructed, you will have a chance to crawl into a short section of the tunnels to feel the oppressive narrowness and heat inside. Experience the thrill of firing an M15, AK-47, and carbine rifle (at guests own extra cost). This is your chance to get a taste of what it’s like to be a soldier in a war zone. With the help of experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to handle these powerful weapons and how to shoot them safely. Return to Saigon later in the day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 5: Halong Bay

After checking out from your Hanoi Old Quarters hotel will your adventure to Halong Bay begins, a UNESCO-recognized natural world heritage site. Upon arriving at the cruise port, experience a warm welcome and swift check-in. Embark on an overnight cruise to explore the breathtaking beauty of the “Descending Dragon” Bay, characterized by unique limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After onboard lunch, explore grottos, swim, kayak, and marvel at floating houses and islets. Return to the cruise for a cooking demonstration, dinner, and an array of evening activities or to relax in luxury. Spend the overnight on the cruise.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City

Wake up early for a mesmerizing dawn over the Eastern Sea in Vietnam. Experience the magic of sunrise amidst the islets of the bay. After breakfast, the boat will navigate through incredible areas, each islet with a unique name like Sail Island or Fisherman’s Head Rock. Enjoy brunch on board as we return to the pier. Disembark and return to Hanoi by shuttle bus. Your driver will take you to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, be greeted by a local guide, transfer downtown, and check into your hotel. Experience the vibrancy of Ho Chi Minh City and spend the night in this dynamic city.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City

Embark on a morning city tour beginning with breakfast at the hotel. Witness history at the Independence Palace, a poignant symbol of the Vietnam War. Designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu, this grand structure now serves as a museum. Explore French colonial relics like the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Visit the War Remnants Museum to gain insight into Vietnam’s struggle for independence. Enjoy a local Vietnamese lunch. In the afternoon, venture to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of legendary underground cities pivotal in the war. Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City

Escape Ho Chi Minh City’s hustle for My Tho along the Mekong River. Explore Vinh Trang Pagoda, a 19th-century gem. Board a sampan to cruise the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands. Pause at Unicorn Island, stroll country lanes, savor tropical fruits, and enjoy local folk songs. Visit a fruit plantation, row through Thoi Son Canal, and indulge in honey tea and coconut candy at a family business. Lunch at a local spot precedes an afternoon cycling tour in Tan Thach Village, where you’ll encounter Mekong Delta’s daily life. Hammock relaxation awaits, or join the cycling adventure. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City

Bid farewell to Vietnam as our team seamlessly transfers you to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Airport for your departure flight, cherishing the memories of your time in this captivating country.
